I just shelled out about $150 for a cajon drum in addition to carrying a case. I hope that I actually use it enough to warrant paying that amount of cash for it. I have bought things before on a whim, such as portable gas heating systems for camping, in addition to ending up never using them. They usually sat in our garage for a few years till enough other stuff piled up next to them causing me to toss everything out in a fit of cleaning. The local business where I bought the drum certainly gave me a nice discount on it as I am friends with the owner. I have been messing with drumming for the past 35 years so I don’t suppose that this will be a passing fancy for the other things I’ve bought. I am also going to buy a smart thermostat later this week if I can’t repair our outdated one, however this is more of a necessity than an impulse buy as I need to live in comfort in our personal flat. The Summer is honestly hot this year. In addition, I am typically having to adjust our thermostat by hand in addition to getting sleepy as well. I suppose the smart thermostat can be programmed easily, in addition to once it is done I won’t have to worry about it anymore. They have a sale on them now so I suppose this would be a nice time to grab it. Both of us have a few more weeks of heat in addition to then it is going to slowly shift to various cooler weather. I love the decreasing seasons here.
