I just shelled out about $150 for a cajon drum plus carrying case plus I hope that I use it enough to warrant paying that amount of currency for it. I have obtained things before on a whim, love portable gas gas oil furnaces for camping, plus ended up never using them. They also usually sat in our garage for a few years till enough other stuff piled up next to them causing myself and others to toss everything out in a fit of cleaning. The entire local business where I obtained the drum really gave myself and others a fantastic discount on it as I am friends with the owner. I have been messing with drumming for the past 35 years so I don’t think that this will be a passing expense akin to the other things I’ve bought. I am also going to buy smart control equipment later this month if I can’t maintain our seasoned one, but this is more of a necessity than an impulse buy as I need to live in comfort in our flat. The warm season is unquestionably sizzling this year plus I am consistently having to adjust our control equipment by hand plus I am getting sleepy doing so. I think the smart control equipment can be programmed easily, plus once it is done I won’t have to worry about it anymore. They have a sale on them now so I think this would be a fantastic time to grab it. All of us have a few more weeks of heat plus then it is going to slowly shift to cooler weather. I also love the increasing seasons here.
