Does indoor air quality matter?

My sibling just had a baby and we are so gleeful about our family. She is the cutest little baby I have ever seen, even though I may be just a little biased. My sibling and her hubby are absolutely gleeful to bring her home and seem to have everything they need set up, and I was wondering if the air quality mattered at home since the baby is born into such a sterile environment at the hospital. I wonder how much that air cleaner there impacts the immunity of babies when they first enter the world. Some people debate that babies shouldn’t necessarily live in environments where the air quality is too perfect because they need to be exposed to toxins in order to build up strong immunity. Some people argue that they need to have air quality because their immune systems are so fragile and can’t withstand toxins or pollutants in the air. I’m reminded that people have given birth out in the wild for generations plus they grew into strong and healthy human beings, so having an air cleaner isn’t necessarily going to make or break the baby. It’s okay to have an air cleaner in the house, even though I don’t think anyone should go crazy trying to keep everything extra clean for the baby, then they need that exposure to get stronger. You also can’t shield your baby from everything in life, so this may be a great small step to releasing control over their experience and allowing their bodies to do what they’re meant to do.
