My mother in law is coming at the end of this month and I am getting frantic preparing for her.
I wasn’t expecting her either which stinks.
My husband just informed me and now I am rushing to get the house prepared. I am in the middle of a bathroom remodel. I don’t want his mother to come and only have one working bathroom. It would be nice to at least get the toilet and shower ready to use. Another task I need to do is get the guestroom prepared. My husband and I just moved. The guest room needs to be totally cleaned top to bottom. I want to paint the walls, get new sheets, pillows and a comforter. I also would like a new area rug and switch plates in there. Those little touches will make it so much better. Lastly, I want to call for HVAC service before she arrives. My husband’s mother is nuts about AC. She is constantly changing the thermostat settings and forcing the cold air in the house. I remember it from my last visit being a pain. I don’t even know if my new house’s AC system is up to her standards. I would feel awful if the AC system didn’t turn on or quit while she was here. So I need a HVAC professional to do some cleaning, tightening and assuring me that everything will work to the level I need it too. That probably is an unnecessary thing, servicing the air conditioner. However, I know I will feel better knowing I checked off every box.
