My Grandma lives in a genuinely mild climate

My Grandma lives in a beautiful part of a country across the pond.

  • The summers in this place are balmy with low humidity.

The winters are cool and mild. It’s only genuinely occasionally that there is somewhat of a heatwave in the summer. In the Winter time there might be a light dusting of snow on sparse occasions, just a few days out of the year. In short, it is a place where climate control is practically unneeded. I love going to visit my Grandma just as much for the joy of his company as for the joy of the beautiful weather that I get to enjoy where he lives. She does have climate control in his home but it is the most basic and it is hardly ever used. Your home is beautiful and quaint, but small. There is a gas stove that he uses once in a good while I was in the Winter time. It is situated in the entryway, as you would expect. The home is small enough to where the residing room and the entryway and the dinette are all warmed by the stove. On such cold Winter evenings, he will sleep either in his rocking chair or on the couch within proximity of the warmth instead of going upstairs to his bed. In the summer, if it’s a little too hot in the neighborhood he does something different. There’s a window a/c in his dining room that he will use. It definitely keeps his entire dining room nice and cool! Virtually any other time of the year, he simply opens the windows for a nice breeze!
