I am someone who likes to save money whenever and wherever I can, no matter how much.
Even if it is very little.
Because every single bit counts. The one thing that I save a little money on when it comes to energy use is because I use a portable space heater in the winter to heat my living room instead of using the central heating and air conditioning system. It does not save a whole ton of money, but it saves me a little bit. Enough that at the end of the year I have saved at least one hundred dollars. This is very little but to me any savings is good savings. That is the way I like it. I had thought about buying a portable air conditioning system and doing the same exact thing in the hot summer time months of the year, however with that a portable air conditioning system cost a lot more than a portable space heater. So if I was to do that I am not sure how much I would save but it probably would not be enough to cover the cost of the portable air conditioning system itself within the year, which is why I have not done it. And I probably won’t even do it ever unless I can find a portable air conditioning system on sale for half off the regular price. Then it would be worth it. But unless that is found I will just stick with the portable space heater.
