I was thankful for the warranty on the HVAC unit

Last summer, my wife and I had a brand new HVAC system installed in our home.

It cost us an arm and a leg, but the new system worked really well. We could see a difference in the house atmosphere immediately after the new equipment was installed. The house was much cooler that summer and the AC did not run constantly. The bills for cooling our home were 30% less than they were the previous summer. I was very pleased with the new HVAC unit, until last weekend when the machine broke down. I was running the air conditioner and everything was going perfectly fine until I turned on the oven. I don’t think that the oven is actually the reason for the problem, but turning on the oven triggered the issues with the AC unit. Warm air was coming out of the system and the house was starting to get hot. I turned off the AC as soon as I realized there was a problem. I contacted the company that installed the HVAC unit. My system was still under warranty, thankfully, because there was a major issue with the machine. There was a leak in the refrigerant tank and it was pretty severe. I later found out that the problem was a manufacturer’s defect. The machine was under warranty, so the air compressor had to be replaced at no charge to me. I didn’t even have to pay for the labor fees. All of the charges for the new installation were included because of the warranty.
