The new shirts don't fit me right

I’m kind of a big guy.

  • I played football in high school when I was 6’5 and 300 lb.

I have gained about 50 lb since then and 2 in. My height has never really been an issue for me, but sometimes it can be difficult to find clothes that fit properly. Since I am tall and a big guy, my shirts have to be made for big and tall guys like me. I usually go to the store that is made just for people with my stature and physicality. Unfortunately, my boss does not shop in this section when he is thinking about new uniform shirts for all of the HVAC repair technicians. Last month the guy ordered new shirts. I was hopeful that the shirts would fit me well, but they aren’t long enough and my stomach sticks out of the bottom. It looks totally unprofessional, and there isn’t anything that I can do to fix the problem. I tried pulling on the top of the shirt to stretch it out more, but that didn’t really work. I told my boss that the new shirts don’t fit and he told me that I could go back to wearing the old ones if I had to. Still, I’m bummed out because I should be able to get new shirts just like the other HVAC repair technicians that work for the company. I feel singled out for my tall height and my big gut. I feel like my boss could order something special just for me if he wanted me to wear the new shirts just like everyone else.
