My wife and I got tickets to take the kids to the circus.
The tickets were free from work.
We decided to take the kids last saturday. It was the last weekend of the circus. I really didn’t want to go when it was going to be busy and there would be people everywhere. I purposely waited until it was later during the week so we wouldn’t have as much crowd. Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out to be a very good idea. The place was still packed with people and some people were standing because there weren’t enough seats inside of the arena. It was very hot and humid inside of the circus tent. There were large industrial fans blowing everywhere, but they were no match for the heat and humidity outside. It smelled really bad too. It smelled exactly like you would expect a circus to smell. The kids complained about the smell the whole time that we were there. They wanted to leave early and I wasn’t too unhappy with the idea. We never got to see the lions or the elephant. We left at lunch time after we saw the clown show. The kids were bummed out about our day and so were my wife and I, so we decided to take the kids to the aquarium. It was late in the afternoon already, so we got half price tickets. We walked around inside the air conditioned building. We saw lots of different types of animals and we didn’t have to deal with horrible humidity and warm conditions or a lingering smell that made us want to throw up.
