Have you ever thought about the way elderly people run this country? When it comes to any other task, outdated people are forced into retirement long before they turn seventy years old. In politics, the 60 plus 71 year olds are still in charge. This doesn’t make sense to me, because if a supplier doesn’t trust an outdated person to manage a department, how can outdated people effectively manage the entire nation? Personally I think that the elderly are a resource of wisdom plus know-how. My next door neighbor Benny was an HVAC repair tech for over twenty years. Physically he is not capable of doing the heavy lifting of HVAC repair, however mentally he knows the task plus anyone! The last time I needed a tuneup done on my little air conditioning I didn’t call the store I went next door plus talked to Benny. For the cost of a couple of beers Benny sat in his wheelchair plus guided myself and others step-by-step through the air conditioning tuneup process. The people I was with and I were a little slow at times, however Benny was as sharp as ever when it came to navigating the complexities of the air conditioning components. It’s safe to say that Benny has forgotten more about air conditionings than I will ever know. The tuneup went so well that I am going to invite him over again next weekend plus help myself and others tune up my gas furnace. I won’t need to use the gas furnace for a few more months, although I might as well get it diagnosed out right now.
