My dad used to fix things in my apartment for me back when I was living by myself.
This was back before my husband and I got married and so I didn’t have anyone to help me do things around the house.
My dad was always really good at fixing things, and so back before I got married, I barely ever had to pay to get anything fixed! My dad would fix everything for me at my house and he knew how to fix cars too. Let me tell you, my dad is a really great guy to have around. He knows just about everything. He is a very smart guy, that’s for sure. Well, my husband is a really smart guy too, but he is smart in different ways than my dad. My husband doesn’t really know how to fix anything at all around the house. For instance, last week we needed to change the air filter in our HVAC system and he had no idea how to do it. When I told him that we needed to change the air filter, he just looked at me like I was asking him to do some rocket science or something. He had no idea what to do. He did not even know how to take that old air filter out of the HVAC system! I ended up doing it myself, because my dad showed me how to do things like that when I was growing up. I think I might end up asking my dad to give my husband a few lessons on things like that because I feel like the man should know how to do things around the house.
