We decided to go with an 18 seer heat pump. The higher the seer rating, the more energy efficient the machine will be. We had an option of a 14 and a 16 as well. We decided to go with the top of the line model, because it wasn’t that much more expensive than the 14 and 16 seer rated machines. Since we had the new machine installed, we have lowered our monthly energy bills by 15% and that helps pay for the luxurious system that we had installed.
