When our Grandpa died, our Dad told myself and others that there was an ancient baseball card collection someplace in the house.
She entirely didn’t suppose where all the ancient cards were stored, although she knew that they were someplace within the various walls.
My Grandpa showed her the card collection about 10 years ago plus some of the cards were worth a lot of currency. My Dad tried to get him to sell the cards then, although she was stingy plus wanted to hoard them. I looked all over the condo for those ancient cards. My Dad thought the collection might be worth $5,000 or $10,000 due to the amount of rookie cards that were inside of the little plastic sheets. The people I was with and I started in the attic. The people I was with and I had a lot of junk to search through plus every one of us had to clean everything up plus get the condo ready to sell. The people I was with and I moved room by room through the condo cleaning everything while still looking for the card collection. I finally found the cards outside on the front porch. They were underneath some ancient records that were disfigured certainly badly from the Heat plus humidity. The records were warped plus wavy. The cards looked about the same. The humidity disfigured all of those ancient cards. My Grandpa didn’t bother to put the cards in the condo where the air conditioner would have kept them safe. Most of the cards were worthless after the heat destruction plus the 1s that could have been worth a lot of currency had been sold some time in the last 10 years.
