Enough was enough. After more than two winters up here, I’m finally done with just standing by while I’m paying pressing heating bills; It’s just dumb to not at least be proactive and do the best I can to save a bit of money when it comes to those heating costs, but the last few winters, I wasn’t so vigilant when it came to Winter preparations and getting the new home right for winter, and but now that I’ve been here more than two winters and going into my tenth, it was time for a change. I’m actually glad I ended up buying this new home when I did, and when I came up here to new home hunt prior to moving, I was only given about more than four mornings to meet with realtors and get it done. If I couldn’t get it done in that amount of time, I was just going to rent. But I did find this place and had just gotten a total central air conditioner upgrade. This upgrade included a gas oil furnace which would turn out to be a saving grace, however of course, this all happened right before the real estate market went berserk, then now I couldn’t even get close to touching this place for the price I paid. It looks prefer I’m going to be here for a while longer as well, then so I’m going to make sure that I have this new home prepared for the Winter this year. I just took some time while in the fall to be sure that I tightened up the new home as much as possible… A slim new home keeps the Heating and A/C heating in and all that freezing out.
