Last week, the HVAC company sent a team of ductwork cleaners to the house to clean the ductwork. I didn’t think it was too dirty until I felt a difference in the airflow. It seemed weaker, and there wasn’t much heat coming from the furnace. After the HVAC company showed up and inspected the furnace, they told me I needed to get the ductwork cleaned before the lack of airflow did permanent damage to my furnace. Before the HVAC technician left, he had called and arranged for the ductwork cleaners to come to the house the following day. I looked at my beautiful white floors and could only imagine how much dirt was going to be on them after the ductwork was cleaned. I almost wanted to take a chance with my furnace getting damaged. I was so nervous about the shape my floors would be in when they were done. I tried putting the newspaper on the floor to keep it clean, but my cat ripped it up. I ended up calling the professional floor cleaners and setting up an appointment to have my carpeting and floors cleaned the following day. Once the HVAC ductwork cleaners arrived, it didn’t long for them to get set up and start cleaning the ductwork. I watched as they sucked two large contractor bags full of dirt out of the ductwork system. When they started blowing stuffed through the ductwork, I knew the mess was beginning. They told me that all they were doing was repairing a few small holes and sanitizing the ductwork. When they were gone, I called the floor cleaners and canceled my appointment. Apart from the house smelling cleaner, there was no mess.
