I could feel the wind blowing through my windows.

There is nothing worse than having a cold winter’s draft blowing through your house when you’re already cold.

I drive a snowplow and sometimes you can’t have your windows up.

Last week, we had an early snowstorm that had traffic come to a standstill. I was driving the snowplow that didn’t have any heat. No matter what I did to the HVAC system, the heat refused to turn on, but the air conditioning worked well. To keep my windshield from freezing, I had to have the air conditioning blowing the entire time. I wasn’t happy with this, but at least I was only on the road for a four-hour shift, even if it felt like it was a twenty-four-hour shift. By the time I got back to the shed, I was shivering, and I swore my eyes were frozen. I couldn’t wait to get home and get warm. I told the mechanic he had to fix the HVAC system before I returned in the morning. I was not driving that snowplow unless he had heat in it. When I got home, all i could think of was curling up on the sofa with a blanket wrapped around me, and getting warm. Instead of curling up on the sofa, I had to deal with a broken window. The wind had knocked a branch off a tree. The furnace was running and there was an icy blast of air coming through the window. With the help of some cardboard and duct tape, I could stop the draft long enough to get some warmth and rest..
