I had been residing in the same home for the last 3 years, and I had never had a problem.
I got the home when I moved south to go to university.
It was clean, cheap, and there were other students residing inside of there. I came home from my job one evening, and there were bugs coming out of the air vents. I thought I was actually seeing things, however these little black bugs were going in and out of the air vents. I called the superintendent, but he didn’t think of me, and he said there was no way bugs could be coming out of the air vents. If there were, they would be in every apartment, since the two of us shared the ductwork, but over the next 3 afternoons, more tenants were calling about bugs coming out of the HVAC air vents. The superintendent had to do something, but he wasn’t doing it with a smile. He was grumbling every time he saw one of us there. One day, there was a sign on the bulletin, but everyone had to find somewhere to stay over the weekend. The home building was being cleaned, sanitized, and debugged, and no one could come back in for 3 afternoons. They found a bug infestation while doing an inspection of the ductwork, however a bunch of us got together and rented 3 big rooms at the local motel. All of us had excellent a/c and no bugs coming from the air vent. All of us also had a pool, which the two of us didn’t have at the home building. If the two of us had enough money, the two of us may have stayed there since the two of us only had 3 more months until our actual university graduation.
