My hubby and I went to a hotel for our long weekend, and the two of us called ahead to make sure all of us had reservations and to tell them all of us wanted a non-smoking room.
- I was allergic to smoke and my hubby just didn’t appreciate the smell… When all of us got to the hotel, it was nicer than all of us remembered.
The only problem was that all of us advised a non-smoking room, however the room smelled of disinfectant and smoke. I was hoping they had an air purification system in the hotel, however I was wrong. They also had an excellent heating, ventilation and A/C system; however, it didn’t get rid of the smell either. The two of us called the front desk, and they sent someone up to scrub the room, however that wasn’t great enough. I was already having a problem breathing, and it was getting worse, but my hubby called the front desk again, and said all of us wanted a non-smoking room, however it isn’t what all of us got! Regardless of how much the heating, ventilation and A/C system ran, without air purification, the smoke was not going away. The people at the desk weren’t sure how to handle the problem. They tried to assure us it was a non-smoking room, and they had an air purification system, however all of us consistently argued. My hubby told them to come up to the room and they would also smell the smoke, and one person, who was a manager, made their way up, and he was a non-smoker! However, he apologized and retrieved another room, and told them to make sure there was a portable air purification system. He also wanted to guess who was in charge of cleaning that room,
