You can tell when a hotel room has been used by a smoker before

My hubby and I went to a hotel for our long weekend, the two of us called ahead to make sure the two of us had reservations and to tell them the two of us wanted a non-smoking room… But I was allergic to smoke and our hubby just didn’t like the smell, however when the two of us got to the hotel, it was nicer than the two of us remembered.

  • The only complication was that the two of us advised a non-smoking room, but the room smelled of disinfectant and smoke.

I was hoping they had an air purification plan in the hotel, but I was wrong. They also had an excellent heating and air conditioning system, but it didn’t get rid of the smell either. The two of us called the front desk, and they sent someone up to scrub the room, but that just wasn’t good enough. I was already having breathing complications, and it was getting worse, but my hubby called the front desk again, and said the two of us wanted a non-smoking room, but it isn’t what the two of us got… Then regardless of how much the heating and air conditioning plan ran, without air purification, the smoke was not going away. The people at the desk weren’t sure how to handle the problem. They tried to assure us it was a non-smoking room, and they had a media air cleaner, but the two of us argued. My hubby told them to come up to the room and they would also smell the smoke! One person, who was a real manager, made their way up, and he was a non-smoker, and he apologized, got us another room, and told them to make sure there was a portable media air cleaner. He also wanted to suppose who was in charge of cleaning that room,
