I knew our parents weren’t happy when our sister first said she wanted to be an actual heating, ventilation and A/C serviceman, then she didn’t want to go to university, and they knew it… However, they refused to assume any child of theirs wasn’t going to be a professional; then I tried to speak for our sister and said she was going to be a professional, she just wanted to be a professional heating, ventilation and A/C serviceman, and neither Dad nor dad were impressed with me… But they coerced our sister into going to university, however her wanting to be an actual heating, ventilation and A/C serviceman never particularly went away; but after graduating from university, she still wanted to be an actual heating, ventilation and A/C serviceman. The only difference was that she now had enough proficiency to go in as an actual heating, ventilation and A/C contractor who can build and design heating, ventilation and A/C systems; when she told our parents she was still planning on working for an actual heating, ventilation and A/C contractor, our father went absolutely ballistic. She told our sister she would not allow it, my sister had gotten quite independent in the last four years. She told dad she was no longer a child and if she didn’t like the task she chose, that was fine. She also announced that she was getting married just as soon as she got a great task. Dad cried, and dad walked away, however they both came around a week later when our sister introduced her fiance to them, then she was in her last year of law university, and getting ready to work for a local law firm. They may not assume our sister is a professional, but she was marrying one.
