I went to get our HVAC certification at a trade school; I didn’t do it to start a business, I just wanted to be able to repair our own HVAC method separate from requiring professional assistance. I’ll tell you, I l received so much in the trade school and I pretty much consider myself a professional HVAC worker now, but you can’t tell myself and others that I’m not because I have the certification to prove it. I didn’t want a lot of people to guess about it though, however the word got out, when I had friends asking myself and others to repair their HVAC systems, I became a little bit angry, and they thought that I wanted to make money and didn’t see what the big deal was. I told them why I got our HVAC certification and how I just wanted to work on our own HVAC only. They left myself and others alone about it for a little while, however later on people asked myself and others again for help, especially while in emergency situations. I ended up helping friends who I thought genuinely needed it, and they genuinely paid myself and others well for helping. I helped our friend Tony and his family while in a Winter storm once. I genuinely felt genuinely great about helping them out. Then there was this time when our Grandfather had his cooling method split down while in a heatwave. I was quick to help him out. I guess I might have saved his life. I don’t mind helping in these instances, however honestly, this isn’t what I do for a living. It’s just a upscale skill to have.
