When our parents retired and moved down south, I decided to buy their house, but the home was not in the best of shape because our parents hadn’t done any maintenance in the last 15 or 20 years… My Mom got hurt at labor and had to retire early and it’s not enjoy our mom can get up on their roof to check for soft spots; When I bought the house, I had an inspector come to the locale to tell myself and others everything that was wrong. The home inspector spent at least 2 hours checking all of the weird parts of the house, however one thing that was mentioned in the report that was a major problem was the roof. The roof had to be updated in order for our loan to qualify under the directions, but i was a first time home client and I was trying to get an FHA loan. The loan would not qualify with the issues with the roof, so I had to get a conventional loan or figure out a way to get the roof repairs done first. My mom and Mom did not have the money to pay for all of the roofing repairs and neither did I, lucky for me, a single of our coworkers knew of a commercial and residential roofing installation company that would do the labor and then wait to get paid after the home was sold. I also found out that I could change our loan around and get extra money for repairs on the house. I thought the roofing issues were going to be a disaster, however it didn’t turn out to be that bad.
