The radiant heated flooring was the perfect luxury.
When our home was under construction, there was a dire rainstorm that completely flooded the first floor. All of us stressed the construction for the driest time of year, so the random rainstorm that the two of us experienced was a complete shock to most people. There was a temporary roof on the hour floor addition the two of us were adding, however it collapsed with the heavy rain. For the past 8 weeks, our home has been under construction, trying to rebuild everything that was disfigured. Thankfully, the two of us had homeowners insurance that covered everything. I wasn’t planning on remodeling our home, however the flooding left me no choice. One of the rooms that was hit the hardest was the master washroom. All of us had to remove everything back to the studs and basically start from the ground up, but while picking the new finishes, our partner and I decided to treat ourselves to heated flooring in the washroom. All of us hated stepping out of the tub or shower onto a cold floor. Our washroom is naturally cooler than the rest of the home too, which made it extra hard to get out of a sizzling shower. The radiant heated flooring was the perfect luxury. One of the best parts about the new heated flooring in the washroom is that they’re affixed to a timer. All of us have the timer set to turn on the heated flooring right before the two of us wake up and in the night. The radiant heated flooring will turn on automatically to hot up our feet. All of us can’t believe the two of us lived this long separate from heated flooring!
