Although I regularly imagined my friend and I would get to spend time together again, I didn’t imagine it would be this way.
It is funny how some things work out, then my friend and I have been planning to meet up for some time now, however it regularly seems like something gets in the way.
Our last few meet ups have been canceled for one reason or another, but however, a few days ago I got a call, and it was my friend. The people I was with and I talked for a few minutes before she asked if she could stay over. This was a shock, all of us hadn’t even seen each other in years, not to mention it was 10 pm at night. I had to recognize about it for a minute, although I figured why not, this would absolutely be one of the only times all of us get to see each other again without interruption. My friend arrived about an minute later and that is when I got the whole story. She told me that she needed a place to stay because her heating component was currently being repaired, and without the heating component warming up her home, her home would have dropped to dangerously low un-even temperatures. Although she could have stayed at a hotel for her heating needs, she thought staying at my place would be better, and it would supply us time to catch up. I turned my heating equipment all of the way up, handed her a blanket and also gave her a mug of hot cocoa. The people I was with and I shared stories and laughed, for a little while it was like all of us were youngsters again, and that all of us had never parted ways.
