It wasn’t the smartest thing an HVAC technician ever did.

My new shoes were ruined, and I was covered in so much mud that I could feel it in my socks and underwear.

I was helping my husband outside this week, when I heard the sound of spinning tires. I walked to the other side of the porch and saw the HVAC service van at the end of the neighbor’s yard. He was spinning his tires so much that he had himself dug into the mud so deeply it was up to his axles. I stopped him and told him to try repositioning his tires and lightly press the gas pedal. He repositioned his tires and pressed lightly on the gas for all of half a second. The mud was flying everywhere, and it covered me from head to toe. I told the HVAC technician to get out of the service van and call his HVAC company. In the meantime, i was going to go into my home and change. Before I got very far, the HVAC technician stopped me. He handed me the phone. The owner of the HVAC company was asking me where the HVAC technician was and if he needed a tow truck. I told him the HVAC technician needed a tow truck, the owner of the property would need someone to repair their lawn, and I needed a shower and new clothing. Ten minutes later, I still hadn’t showered or changed, but I was now talking to the owner of the HVAC company. My new shoes were ruined, and I was covered in so much mud that I could feel it in my socks and underwear. My husband was laughing and I could see a smile on the face of the HVAC company owner. He wrote me a check and told me to buy some new shoes and clothes on him. He handed me a check for $1000.
