I was working in the kitchen the other day, and I realized just how hot it was.
Until recently, I had never realized that the cool air from the air conditioner didn’t reach the kitchen. It’s amazing the things I was realizing about our house, now that I was in it so much more now thanks to the pandemic. I was now listening to the unusual noises that come from the Heating and Air Conditioning system. I was finding out where the air conditioning did and did not make a difference. I was also finding the areas that were warmer than others, while we were in the winter. I knew the only thing I could do was to install zone control, but even that didn’t work. It helped with the heating, but not the air conditioning. I asked the Heating and Air Conditioning business if it was possible to add another small air conditioning unit just for the kitchen. He said it would be possible, but it would actually be best if I just got a window air conditioning unit. He said it would be cheaper and it would also be more efficient. I thought about what he said and I gave consideration to purchasing a window air conditioning unit, but I didn’t find one that would properly fit. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning tech and told him that my dilemma was finding a window AC unit to fit. He assured me they had portable air conditioning units and window air conditioning units that would fit in our kitchen. He even came to the house to show me the several different types of window and portable air conditioning units they had in stock.
