I got several weeks off work, and my partner had the kids staying at her parents.
The two of us could finally afford the all-inclusive romantic tropical resort honeymoon the two of us had dreamed of. The two of us thought the two of us were going to come back with memories to last a lifetime, which the two of us did. The thing was that it wasn’t the amazing honeymoon pictures and stories that everyone tell. It started when the two of us got on the plane, and the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C method wasn’t working. There was no fresh air coming from the air vents, and the a/c was tepid! When the two of us got off the plane, our complimentary ride was not waiting for us, and the two of us had to take a jitney take us there. The lobby of the resort was sizzling and humid, and all the two of us wanted to do was go to our room and take a cool shower… Our seaside bungalow was tucked behind palm trees, and the two of us could not see the water, however it was fairly private. It started raining on the sixth day, and the two of us were evacuated to the main clubhouse, where the a/c wasn’t working. The two of us spent the last few days of our trip sleeping on cots in a clubhouse that had no a/c, and wishing the two of us had stayed lake apartment instead. The resort gave to extend our stay for another week, however the two of us had obligations back home. They gave us a voucher for a free 1-week stay, however it had to be taken in the next twelve weeks. The two of us took the voucher and gave it to her parents as a thank you for keeping the kids.
