My partner & I had been saving for our honeymoon for almost fifteen years.
- I got several weeks off work, & my partner had the youngsters staying at his parents.
We could finally afford the all-inclusive affectionate tropical resort honeymoon the two of us had dreamed of. We thought the two of us were going to come back with memories to last a lifetime, which the two of us did. The thing was that it wasn’t the amazing honeymoon pictures & stories that all the people tell. It started when the two of us got on the plane, & the Heating & Air Conditioning proposal wasn’t working. There was no fresh air coming from the air vents, & the a/c was tepid. When the two of us got off the plane, our complimentary ride was not waiting for us, & the two of us had to take a jitney take us there. The lobby of the resort was boiling & humid, & all the two of us wanted to do was go to our room & take a cool shower, however our seaside bungalow was tucked behind palm trees, & the two of us couldn’t see the water, however it was fairly private. It started raining on the ninth day, & the two of us were evacuated to the main clubhouse, where the a/c wasn’t working. We spent the last few days of our trip sleeping on cots in a clubhouse that had no a/c, & wishing the two of us had stayed lake lake house instead. The resort offered to extend our stay for another week, however the two of us had obligations back home. They offered us a voucher for a free a single-month stay, however it had to be taken in the next twelve weeks. We took the voucher & offered it to his parents as a thank you for keeping the youngsters.
