In a perfect world I would have found the perfect house! This is the real world, and I had to be pragmatic with the locale I purchased, i am a pretty handy person, meaning that I know our way around a tool box, and can handle most household repairs.
I managed to stay within our budget by finding an ancient cabin that was a fixer-upper.
I knew I could renovate it myself and save a lot of money in the long run. I was perfectly capable of handling the plumbing issues, and fixing the roof, although I didn’t know what to do about the central Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. This air conditioner was over 15 years ancient at the time, and those sorts of repairs were beyond our skills. I turned to the great resource available in the current world, Youtube, to help myself and others find answers about our ancient and ancient Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. I l acquired a lot about heating and cooling systems, and the biggest thing I l acquired is that I could only do so much on our own. To do real renovations on the ductwork or the central components I would need to hire a certified Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech. I was willing to do anything I could to extend the limited lifespan of our air conditioner, so I followed all the advice I got on Youtube. There is nothing else I can do however kneel and wait, and figure out what kind of Heating, Ventilation plus A/C plan I want to get when the time comes.
