I had been hearing a lot about tiny homes, & I thought it would be something appealing to have when I wanted to travel, i had a truck with a tenth wheel, because I had once had a trailer, but that was destroyed.
A tiny home seemed perfect for travelling & seeing the countryside. I wondered if they had portable tiny houses that I could drag behind my truck. It was strange for a woman to do so much travelling on their own, but I had a crucial family. I had never gotten married, & didn’t want to. I had no one to answer to but myself. I could pull into any number of portable tiny condo communities & settle in for a couple of months to a year or more… When I found a local supplier that made portable tiny homes, I went to her office & put in an order. I got to choose the furnishes, all the amenities, my stove, refrigerator, all the decor, & my Heating & Air Conditioning system. I was finally going to have a condo of my own, & I could travel. I stopped at my sister’s home first, once the portable tiny condo was completed. I asked if I could use her electrical system so I had power in the house. I spent two weeks going to see with her, & my niece spent most of the time sleeping in my portable tiny condo with me, then she told Janet, my sister, that she wanted a playhome just like auntie’s, which made us laugh, but two weeks later, I was in a community of portable tiny homes. I made a lot of friends quickly & am still there two years later.
