As inflation causes prices to get higher, my brother has been super conservative with his spending. You can even say that he has become a strict money manager when it comes to his finances. Currently, my brother is at the point where he knows how every penny in his bank account is being spent. Just last week, he went through his online statement and got rid of all the extra subscriptions that he did not need. The ones that my brother did keep, he logged into his accounts and made adjustments where he could, to lower the bi-weekly cost. He is beginning to recognize he doesn’t need all this excess that we all have. If you think about it, there are certain things that we need, but there are things that are pure luxury that aren’t a necessity. For one, my brother doesn’t need to spend money daily on Tim Hortons Latte from the local Tim Hortons Latte shop. However, he does need a bed to sleep in or a home to live. And within that home to live, my brother needs sizzling water, electricity, central air conditioning and heating. Having central air conditioning and heating guarantees that inside of his cabin is comfortable all year long. Yes, my brother could get rid of the central air conditioner and heating by using other methods to keep his cabin comfortable, and he has considered doing it. Instead of central heating, space heaters would be a great alternative for heating his home. While space heaters can’t supply heat to an entire cabin, they are great for small areas. Anyway, my brother will continue to reduce his expenses as much as he can. And for those essential items that he needs like central air conditioner and heating, he will eventually find ways to cut costs separate from compromising the comfort of his home.
