I’ve only been working as a repair technician for a couple of months and I already hate the job.
I thought that I would like working in the heating and AC repair industry.
My dad and my uncle both work in the business. They were thinking about opening a business and I was supposed to join them. I don’t think that is going to be possible, because I don’t like any aspect of working in the heating and AC repair industry. I’ve been helping out with minor repairs and mostly doing grunt work. I don’t mind spending time paying my dues and I’m learning a lot, but I don’t really enjoy being outside in the elements. So far this year it has rained about 30 days out of the 3 months that I have been working at the heating and AC repair business. Tuesday I felt like I was at the end of my rope. I fell down and got mud all over myself and I had to spend the rest of the day with mud on my pants and shirt. I wanted to go back to my house and change, but I was riding around with someone else. That guy told me that accidents happen all the time and this was a good time to learn how important it is to keep an extra set of clothes in my vehicle. I thought he was joking because it was only 10:00 in the morning, but he made me ride around all day long filled with mud and mud. I was chaffed at the end of the day and pretty ticked off.
