I’m pretty bummed out that my boss is not going to let me have the weekend off, however i asked for next weekend off a couple of weeks ago and the bus said it would be no problem… Then I got sick last weekend and I had to take four afternoons off.
The boss said that I do not have any more holiday time left over and I have to labor the weekend… My friends and I were supposed to go to a ski resort where they have a couple of odd ski and snowboard areas.
They have some venues where there are jumps and rails. Next weekend they are going to be having a half-price ticket event because of the St Patrick’s Day holiday, anyone who shows up wearing all green can get a half price ticket to the chairlift. The chairlift tickets are normally $195 each. My friends and I had everything planned down to the last minute, but now I have to stay apartment and labor at the Heating and A/C repair and installation business. I am honestly sad that I will not get to join my friends, even though I assume I should stay apartment and make sure that I have enough money to pay my rent. Missing 4 afternoons of labor hurts a lot, because I only get paid minimum wage when I have a sick afternoon even though I can earn commission if I am laboring on heating or AC repairs or installation work, and getting sick cost me $300 at the healthcare expert and then another $60 at the pharmacy. It also cost me a weekend with my friends.
