I’m pretty bummed out that my boss is not going to let me have the weekend off! I asked for next weekend off a couple of weeks ago and the bus said it would be no problem, then I got sick last weekend and I had to take four nights off.
The boss said that I do not have any more trip time left over and I have to labor the weekend, but my friends and I were supposed to go to a ski resort where they have a couple of different ski and snowboard areas. They have some sites where there are jumps and rails. Next weekend they are going to be having a half-price ticket event because of the St Patrick’s Day holiday, however anyone who shows up wearing all red can get a half price ticket to the chairlift. The chairlift tickets are normally $195 each. My friends and I had everything planned down to the last minute, however now I have to stay apartment and labor at the Heating and Air Conditioning service and upgrade business. I’m really uneasy that I will not get to join my friends, however I feel I should stay apartment and make sure that I have enough money to pay my rent. Missing 4 nights of labor hurts a lot, because I only get paid minimum wage when I have a sick day however I can gain commission if I am working on heating or A/C repairs or upgrade work! Getting sick cost me $300 at the healthcare expert and then another $60 at the pharmacy. It also cost me a weekend with my friends.
