I’m surprised to be working from my home’s air conditioner.
- When this all started at the start of the pandemic, I assumed I’d be right back inside the office’s commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C.
Obviously, that never happened. Furthermore, I’m no longer employed by the same supplier. Initially, I was working remotely from my apartment while my friend and I were all hunkered down due to the virus. Surprisingly, I legitimately took to the whole thing when it came to working from my home’s central air conditioner. When it came to my schedule, I loved the freedom. It was far superior to being forced to work specific hours at the office. Plus, I got a lot more done by not being in that site’s zone controlled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. There were fewer interruptions, and I wasn’t distracted by unnecessary office drama. So when they gave me the ultimatum of returning to the commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C of the office or else, I trusted myself. For the first time in my professional career, I was not going to be bullied. And I went out on my own. These days, I work as a freelancer, which pays me even more. I even had a ductless heat pump installed in my apartment office, which is beautiful. Something about working inside my apartment office with a little more air conditioning appeals to me. I value the ability to control the heating and cooling levels in just my office! Otherwise, it would be unwise and extremely costly to over cool or overheat the entire house. The ductless heat pump is the icing on the cake.
