My sister was at a wedding last week, however, it was her best friend’s wedding, and it was held at one of the most opulent venues in the area, she took pictures so that we could all appreciate its splendor. She was describing the accommodations of the bridesmaids, each of whom had their own private hotel room with a view of the ocean and private access to the beach. The welcome baskets contained fruit, snacks, and beverages, and lunch was delivered to their room. The only difficulty occurred in the afternoon preceding the wedding and reception. The hotel’s air conditioning stopped working. The dining room was so humid that one of the employees fainted and had to be transported to the hospital. The hotel manager assured her friend that the Heating and Air Conditioning system would be repaired before the wedding, but her friend was not pleased. She was convinced that the absence of air conditioning would ruin the wedding. However, at the pre-wedding luncheon, rice pilaf was served even though the hotel was humid and the gowns were being affected by the humidity. My sister could not help but inquire how the rice was prepared. The atmosphere was so humid that the rice could have cooked itself. My sister informed us that the bride broke out in hysterical laughter, but thanked her for bringing some humor to the situation. Two hours later, the air conditioning was restored, and all the bridesmaids were waiting on the stairs to walk down the aisle. Even before the A/C was restored, she remarked that the wedding was magnificent.
