I knew the first time I saw my spouse’s face that this was going to be the house, however and I also realized in that moment that my friend and I were going to have a whole lot of labor ahead of us! But, that was just the way it was going to be! I had been given a promotion that came with a relocation. Normally, that wouldn’t be so bad as this is the norm in my industry, then however, after nearly 15 years of my spouse following me around the country to further my job, my friend and I had settled down and purchased our dream home. I had finally made it to corporate and my friend and I figured the relocating nights were behind us, and that led to truly putting down roots in the community and enjoying our home! My friend and I had a yard big enough for a garden and a dining room that was the envy of the town. My friend and I also appreciated the easily best in residential HVAC and HVAC technology as well. It felt like all that effort in my job had finally come to fruition. But the pandemic nearly wrecked our contractor, but so it has been all hands on deck for a while now. That meant a lot of travel for me that was outside the zone controlled HVAC of the corporate headquarters. And eventually, I got my Maying orders to take over the worst of the regional offices which would be at least a 3 or 4 years commitment. That meant leaving the house my friend and I enjoyed. So I promised my spouse that she could choose the house my friend and I lived in and we’d do whatever renovating my friend and I needed to do to make it home. The first thing my friend and I had to address was the heating and cooling. Since the ductwork was worthless, my friend and I made the choice to go with a ductless multi split system and it’s the best.
