The electric fireplace saved me from hypothermia

I soon need to call off work and get ready to go to my favorite seaside town and escape the madness of the city.

I need to prepare lunch, and pack my backpack with towels, clothes, etc.

I’ll meet my girlfriend there after she’s done with her own work and we’ll have lunch by the sea. We like to get tanned and soak up vitamin D from the sun. We also like to swim in cold water. A lot of people think we are nuts, but it just makes us feel good. It’s quite common for us to arrive at the beach with a long face and in a bad mood, but leave the beach with a smile on our face. Instead of wasting energy using air conditioning, we cool down in the water. Some time ago, I remember, it was winter and I spent too long in the sea. When I came out I was shivering like crazy and had to do 100 press-ups beside the electric fireplace before I was warm again. It was lucky we had a heater in the room because I probably had hypothermia. But as long as you don’t spend too much time in it, I think the cold water is good for you. In fact, my girlfriend, who works for an HVAC company but has also studied biology, told me that bathing in cold water significantly reduces your chances of suffering from a heart attack. Later in the evening, I have theater class in a room with a quality air conditioner, which I’m really looking forward to.
