My best friend just broke her leg tripping over her air conditioner.
- I try not to laugh about it because breaking your leg isn’t exactly a good experience, but I can’t help but laugh about it from time to time.
The reason that it is sort of humorous to me is because I just helped my best friend move into her new apartment about two weeks ago, and I was the one who carried her air conditioner into the apartment. I set it in the hallway but later asked her where she wanted me to put it. She told me to just leave it in the hallway. I warned her that she might trip over it in the middle of the night if I don’t move it, but she said that she would be fine. Well, she has been unpacking other things for the past two weeks, and she hasn’t moved that air conditioner. Last night, she woke up to use the restroom in the middle of the night and tripped over the air conditioner that I had set in the hallway. She ended up breaking her leg by landing wrongly on it. I feel so bad for her, but I can’t say that I didn’t warn her. I knew that she would trip over that air conditioner. She is sort of a clumsy person anyways. She could trip over air and break her leg let alone a big air conditioner. I went to visit her today, and the air conditioner is still in the hallway. I am definitely going to move it regardless of what she says when I stop over there to bring her dinner tonight.
