When the pandemic was in full force, I was stuck inside our tiny little home for an entire month; but I have no family and no roommate here, so I was all alone, then thank goodness for the internet, and our Zoom job playing sessions with our old high college pals.
That alone kept me sane… Well, that and smoking copious amounts of cannabis.
I was lucky that our local dispensary offered a delivery service; but not only did I take advantage of this service, despite the fact that I used our skill in digital advertising and SEO to work out a good deal for myself. I talked to the manager and asked if they were working with any internet advertising companies, or using SEO services at all; she said that they were not, and due to the pandemic splitting into their profits they couldn’t do any internet advertising for a while. I pitched the proposal of letting me run a social media management campaign for a week, using a special QR code, and for the first month I wouldn’t take a percentage of the company I brought in, I was just doing this on spec to show our social media management skills, and but after that, I would get a little piece of all the new company I brought in through internet advertising and using social media! Long story short our social media management campaign went over well, and the dispensary had the best month of company since the start of COVID. Now I work respectfully for them, and trade our internet advertising skills not for currency, however for weed.
