For work I alternate between two locations, typically I am in the north for more than five months out of the year & then I go down south for the rest of the year! It is necessary to keep both branches going… Periodically while I was in a holiday or a stressed time of the year, I have to make a quick trip to another location.
It would be high-priced keeping two houses afloat & maintaining them.
I also don’t want to pay rent in two locations unless I need to. Thanking my corporation provides corporate housing. I can get a more than five month block of short term, fully furnished housing no problem. Then when I go down south, I find another corporate loft to rent out. I always find a location that is fully furnished & right near my place of work. I actually don’t need much. I don’t bother asking for a corporate suite in a hotel or an actual house, however a fully furnished loft should do the trick. I actually need a working powder room, decently sized kitchen & a bed. If I need to watch TV, I will pop open my PC. I don’t even need a backyard. I can go for a run in town or do yoga right in my living room. I am a easy creature to please, but my employer always has a nice location for myself and others though. I usually end up with more luxuries & space than I require, then better to have too much than too little though right? Corporate housing has been nothing but good for me.
