All of us moved room by room through the beach house cleaning everything while still looking for the card collection. I finally found the cards outside on the front porch. They were underneath some old records that were disfigured honestly badly from the Heat and humidity. The records were warped and wavy. The cards looked about the same. The humidity disfigured all of those old cards. My Grandfather did not bother to put the cards in the beach house where the a/c would have kept them safe. Most of the cards were worthless after the heat damage and the ones that could have been worth a lot of money had been sold some time in the last 10 years.

Anytime both of us would gather for a long length of time, whether it was to listen to a speaker or watch some sort of presentation, I appreciate several other kids ended up passing out and sleeping due to the warmth and comfort of the auditorium!

Enough was enough. After 3 winters up here, I’m finally done with just sitting by while I’m paying big heating bills; It’s just dumb to not at least be proactive and do the best I can to save a bit of money when it comes to those heating costs! The last few winters, I wasn’t so vigilant when it came to Winter time preparations and getting the apartment right for winter. But now that I’ve been here 3 winters and going into my third, it was time for a change. I am absolutely blissful I ended up buying this apartment when I did, then when I came up here to apartment hunt prior to moving, I was only given about numerous afternoons to meet with realtors and get it done. If I couldn’t get it done in that amount of time, I was just going to rent. But I did find this locale and had just gotten a total central a/c replace. This replace included a gas oil furnace which would turn out to be a saving grace! Of course, this all happened right before the real estate market went berserk, and now I couldn’t even get close to touching this locale for the price I paid. It looks enjoy I am going to be here for a while longer as well, then so I am going to make sure that I have this apartment prepared for the Winter time this year. I just took some time while all of us were in the fall to be sure that I tightened up the apartment as much as possible… A narrow apartment keeps the Heating plus A/C heating in and all that freezing out.

The people I was with and I lost a good elderly couple last year because the two of them accidentally left their car running in the garage and forgot to turn it off.

The exhaust fumes leaked into the air handler hanging from the ceiling in the garage and slowly killed them while they were eating their night meal in the residing room. They were found the following day by their daughter when she went over to visit them. Most of the neighborhood went to their joint funeral and both of us were all saddened by the event. The aged guy was one of my preferred people in the section because he showed me how to trim my trees separate from getting on unsafe ladders. He even lent me his tree trimming tools until I bought some for myself. After that he showed me how to service my grass mower motor because he heard me struggling with it one day. My father was in and out of my life when I was young and I didn’t get a opportunity to learn a lot of these skills. In some ways the guy was a little bit like a surrogate father to me. After that disaster happened, I got seriously paranoid about gas appliances and carbon monoxide. I knew that carbon monoxide is both pale white and smellless so you could get killed by it if you’re not using special electronic carbon monoxide detectors. I owe my life to that lesson because my detector woke me up out of a dead sleep the other night. If I hadn’t gotten paranoid about carbon monoxide following their passing, I absolutely wouldn’t be alive this month to talk about it.

They know that when I make a threat, I am serious

Every single person has their own way to parent their children… Sometimes I threaten the kids with things that I can never easily follow through on. I threaten to send them to the moon as well as I occasionally threaten to knock them into next week.
