At least that’s what the HVAC technician told us when he was getting ready to leave our house the other day.

He had been there working for hours that day on our oil furnace. The oil furnace had been on the blink for a while, but we hadn’t done anything to fix it up until that point. We finally decided to get it repaired by a professional HVAC technician because the temperature outside started cooling off quite a bit last week. We didn’t want to end up without a heating system that worked in the middle of the winter. It gets really cold around here during the winter and no one wants to go without a furnace for very long around here if they don’t have to! We knew that it was going to cost us quite a bit to get that old gas furnace repaired,but we were willing to go ahead and pay that anyway. I did not have a coupon or anything to get any money off of our repair bill, so we were pleasantly surprised when the HVAC technician told us that we could save 20% by advertising for them in our neighborhood. I had no idea that they were going to be offering such a generous discount. I don’t mind putting a sign in my yard for a couple of months if it means I’m going to save that much money on my furnace repair! They actually did a really good job, and I liked the company so it’s not a big deal to advertise to my neighbors.

My husband and I are working on restoring an old house that we bought at auction last summer.

We have tried to keep everything true to the historical time period that the house was built in.

Up until now, it has mostly been a lot of prep work but now we are getting right down to the main things. Right now we are working on the heating and cooling system in the house because the original house did not even have one at all. The only thing that it had and it when we bought it were three wood burning fireplaces. Now, we are trying to restore the old house and make it look realistic, but we also want to update it so that it has a modern day heating and air conditioning system. No one is going to want to buy a house these days without a really good high efficiency furnace and a central air conditioning system. I know that I definitely would not want to buy a house if it did not have a great HVAC system in it. The indoor air quality that your HVAC system provides is probably the most important thing in your entire home. I mean when you think about it, it only makes sense. People are only as healthy as their indoor air quality is. That’s just how it is. However, we want to stay true to the architecture in the house and so I am actually going to call an HVAC company that specializes in this type of restoration. I really don’t know what it comes to doing in a house this historic.

I don’t know why that is, but it’s certainly been true over the years. I have had really good luck whenever I use a family owned HVAC company. At least that is the way that it has been for me over the past ten years or so. I have found a really great heating and cooling company in our town and I think that we are going to keep using them from now on. Whenever I first started using them, it was because our furnace wasn’t working correctly. We thought that we were going to have to pay a fortune to some major HVAC company to get the heating system fixed. However, whenever we made the appointment with this family owned HVAC company, we were pleasantly surprised. These guys were super friendly, right on time, and it cost much less than we thought it was going to!
