I don’t feel that Winter is entirely ever totally out of my head.

It’s now mid June and the central air conditioner has kicked on in the house.

That’s about as far away from Winter as the people I was with and I get around here. But when you live in a region where the Winter is brutal and lasts a minimum of 5 weeks, it tends to stick with you. For me, I’m already in prep mode for the coming Winter and the air conditioner hasn’t even been on for a few weeks. But I live out in the country and I have a nice bit of land. The gas heating system does a great job of keeping us warm. But I also have a wood stove for supplemental heating and as an emergency heating source if the power goes out. Having a wood stove is great. I appreciate the sort of heating it puts out. There’s nothing entirely quite like it. It has the cozy feeling of radiant heating however separate from the moisture. However, there is plenty of prep that goes into using a woodstove for heating in the winter. Not only is there all that wood to cut, split and stack however I act as my own chimney sweep as well. The gas heating system gets the Heating and Air Conditioning service it needs each fall however that’s not from me. Whenever I go over to visit our Grandmother these days, she is almost impossible to hear.

I keep telling her to speak up, plus she will for a minute or so, however then she starts mumbling again! It’s definitely annoying because I like talking to our Grandmother. Occasionally when I go over there, I just go plus turn the thermostat up so that her a/c will not run while I am there. But then a single day she caught me doing it. She told me not to touch the thermostat settings because it would mess up her smart thermostat schedule. I believe that she has her thermostat set exactly the way that she wants it, plus if I touch it, then that will mess up everything. I don’t know. I do know that there must be something wrong with her a/c method because of the way that it sounds when it’s running. I don’t guess that any air conditioner should be so loud!

If a single of us doesn’t make it known that it is just way too cold in here, after that I are all doomed to suffer plus freeze forever. The other day whenever our a/c proposal tore up in our house, I found out that the concern was a whole lot straight-forwardr to fix than I entirely thought it was.

After I put in 3 current AA batteries, the a/c turned on just fine.
