It’s quite interesting to see the newer generation of Heating & Air Conditioning professionals at the local Heating & Air Conditioning business. I’ve been doing business with the local Heating & Air Conditioning business since I first bought my first house. And that was nearly 40 years ago. But this local Heating & Air Conditioning business has been around far longer than that. In fact, these local heating & cooling professionals started when residential Heating & Air Conditioning became available to many homeowners. And prior to that, they were heating specialists who did water boilers for radiant heating in buildings. They’ve seen the Heating & Air Conditioning landscape evolve & change over 4 decades. I’m guessing that they are going on a hundred years. The newer generation is now in charge & it’s so interesting. I play hockey with the owner of the local Heating & Air Conditioning business & she worked for her father & Grandfather. Now he is the father & Grandfather. Her daughters are now the ones essential handling all the day-to-day operations for the Heating & Air Conditioning business. They do a great job & have handled all of my regular Heating & Air Conditioning service, however granted, I’m now closing in on having to replace the whole heating & cooling device again. And of course, I’ll be sticking with the same local Heating & Air Conditioning business. There’s simply no reason to go elsewhere. Sure, I might save a couple bucks with a big, national Heating & Air Conditioning chain. But I’d much rather pay for high quality heating & air that I can trust since it comes from people I know & trust. Still, it’s quite interesting to see the daughters as they now have youngsters who may also become involved with heating & cooling. I see 1 teenage girl who comes out with her Dad or another Heating & Air Conditioning specialist. I guess she may have the Heating & Air Conditioning passion that generations before her also had.
The apartment’s heating & cooling is just temporary
It’s my personal mantra each day as I get up inside the less than great quality heating & air of this apartment.
“It’s only temporary, it’s only temporary, it’s only temporary” is what I say all day.
Then once I’m in the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning of the office, it feels like my normal life. Only after I get off work does the reality that my friend and I sold our property hit me again. And then, I’m back to telling myself that this is only temporary. My wifey & I sort of sold our home out from under last Fall. After more than 2 questions from realtors about listing the house, my friend and I finally did it. And it wasn’t that Jen and I were all that gleeful about living anywhere else. But Jen and I wanted to currency in on the market while my friend and I could. Indeed, after Jen and I made some improvements along with replacing the heating & cooling equipment, Jen and I did indeed currency in. Yet, the whole thing seems to have happened so fast. One day we’re getting brand new residential Heating & Air Conditioning, the next we’re listing the home & after that I had 60 afternoons to pack up & move. That was all happening while my friend and I were each working our normal 50 to 60 hours in the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning of our offices. It was a whirlwind to say the least. So Jen and I simply had to have somewhere to go & that’s how Jen and I ended up in this apartment. It’s okay I feel however it’s a house & I’d been living on a nice property for nearly 20 years. But again, it’s just temporary & before long, I’ll have my own heating & cooling device once again. This time, I’m making sure that it comes with all sorts of Heating & Air Conditioning tech as well.
This shouldn’t happen to an Air Conditioning pro
I have a real complication whenever it comes to thinking that I know more than I easily do.
This is something that I’ve had to struggle with my entire life. I’m not a jerk about it or a know it all by any means. I’m the type of woman who gets up, goes to work inside the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning of an office suite, comes property to family & repeat. So it’s not like I’m trying to be anyone else or prove how intelligent I am. No, it’s more like I feel I can logically deduce things that are easily out of my grasp. That was the case recently when my friend Ed and I replaced the residential Heating & Air Conditioning unit. When Ed and I bought our home, the residential Heating & Air Conditioning was only about 7 or 8 years outdated so my friend and I decided to go with it. Ed and I were sure to provide the heating & cooling device with all the Heating & Air Conditioning maintenance it needed. This meant heating maintenance in the Fall that was then followed by an a/c tune up in the late Spring. But finally, the outdated heat pump took a bow & it was time to replace it. This is where I thought we could outsmart the Heating & Air Conditioning pros. I decided to get some idea of what I needed for heating & cooling device from them. And then I could do the ordering of the Heating & Air Conditioning device myself. This would save a ton of money in my mind. And sure enough, I did find Heating & Air Conditioning devices deeply discounted & had it shipped to my home. From there, I figured the Heating & Air Conditioning pros would simply install it & I’d save money. It’s just that I ordered a heat pump that is too small for the air volume in my home. I guess it was not so smart after all.
We now have better heating & cooling in the office
I am feeling pretty triumphant to see the morale of this office begin to turn around a bit.
When I 1st got here, the feeling in this office was just dismal. And who could blame them? These poor folks had been through 3 managers within 5 years. That’s zero consistent leadership. That’s also why I’m working here now. And I’m here to stay as well. This isn’t a work transport for me as much as it is a transport back home. I’m actually from this region & have been gone for a very long time. This region is known for heat & that hasn’t changed. But I sure had to address the dire a/c situation as soon as I arrived. There was so much that had to be addressed that I easily felt overwhelmed. So I decided to start with the basics. I wanted to make sure that my friends and I all were pulling together as a team. However, I had to do something immediate when it came to the old commercial Heating & Air Conditioning. This office was spread out over one big, flat building. There are cubicles everywhere except for a few offices & a large conference room. And there was however one temperature control for all that space. On top of all that, the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning device was so outdated & worn out that it couldn’t handle the demand. Within the first two weeks, I had the Heating & Air Conditioning business out to replace the outdated commercial Heating & Air Conditioning. Now, there is a sweet zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning system. There are temperature controls all over the offices now & the quality heating & air is amazing. I’m so triumphant that just something like the new commercial Heating & Air Conditioning was such a large hit. It’s like people are believing more in this locale again.
Added space needs added Heating & Air Conditioning
My wifey Sam & I just straight lucked out.
And it seems remarkable that almost identical circumstances happened to both of us within months of each other. Both Sam and I have spent over 30 years working in the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning or our respective companies. These were the 1st jobs Sam and I had when my friend and I were straight out of school. That’s where Sam and I met as she and I were both in the same field of study. And Sam friend and I work in the same industry however for peculiar corporations. Sam and I were both pretty much maxed out in our works. Sam and I both had offices with amazing views & our own temperature control. The salary was also at the higher end of what my friend and I could make. I feel both of our companies wanted to detach these salaries from the payroll by offering early retirement. But what are the openings that we’d both get offered early retirement within three months of one another. It was uncanny. Sam and I bolted for the south & bought this house. The idea was to open up the entire back half of the home with added on space. It turned out appealingly & Sam and I have some additional residential Heating & Air Conditioning out there as well. The Heating & Air Conditioning team installed a pair of ductless heat pumps. The space almost doubles the amount of square footage. I thought perhaps Sam and I could run additional ductwork out there however that would have overwhelmed our central a/c unit. Still though, I’m amazed that the ductless mini splits provide the level of quality heating & air that they do. We’ve been enjoying our retirement so far & don’t miss work or harsh Winters one bit.
Tough winters need solid heating
I’m here to let everyone know that the winter is still upon us.
At least it is up here in the north, however just when the natural gas furnace seemed to be easing up a bit, my friend Ed and I get hit with another harsh freeze.
And of course, that came with all of the requisite snow as well. I’m just so sick of having to shovel snow. I paid a teen down the street to do it for a couple of years. But I always felt guilty resting in the glorious heating from the gas furnace while that child shoveled. I made money shoveling driveways & sidewalks when I was young. That was actually one of the few things that would get me outside to do anything. I’ve grown older & lived all my adult life in the same region. Yet, I have never easily gotten comfy with the weather conditions, and five or six months of winter is just too much. And this happens every year. Just as I feel my friend and I might have a shot at an early Spring, here comes a little more bone-chilling cold. It happens over & over. At least Ed and I have the sort of heating method that easily makes a difference. When I bought this house, we wanted to be sure that I had a harsh heating method when it came to Heating & Air Conditioning equipment. And we got just that. The natural gas furnace has been awesome & hasn’t skipped a beat in over a dozen Winters. It doesn’t hurt that we’ve been sure to get the heating maintenance done each Fall without fail. So if I have to lean into the temperature controls again with this latest frigid snap, at least my natural gas furnace has my back. It won’t be too long before I’ll be calling the Heating & Air Conditioning business to come out to do the heater and a/c tune up.
Heating & Air Conditioning replacements were worth the cost
So we met with the Heating & Air Conditioning professionals & got about figuring out how to balance cost outlay with the return.
I always try my best to manage my risks. That is essentially what I do day in & day out inside the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning unit of my office suite. There are always risks worth taking & periodically that means leveraging capital. Also, I just try to make sure that my friend Ed and I get back more than Ed and I put it. That’s completely oversimplifying it but, it’s essentially the name of this game – so when it came to selling our home, I was again in the position of making sure that Ed and I got back what my friend and I put in. Initially, I wasn’t all that gleeful over the suggestion that Ed and I replace the heating & cooling equipment. That seemed completely unnecessary to me and Ed as the Heating & Air Conditioning device was still doing the heating & cooling job. But the simple fact that our residential Heating & Air Conditioning was hastily closing in on the 20 year mark had an impact. Our realtor was right. My associate Ed and I simply had to provide a property that was a turn key chance for the right buyer who was willing to pay our price. So we met with the Heating & Air Conditioning professionals & got about figuring out how to balance cost outlay with the return. I easily loved the Heating & Air Conditioning company helping us get the best residential Heating & Air Conditioning & Heating & Air Conditioning technology for a price that wasn’t completely absurd, then once the Heating & Air Conditioning replace was complete & Ed and I did a few other projects, the home was ready to go on the market. I was stunned at the simple fact that it barely lasted a week before my friend and I had someone willing to pay the asking price for our home. I’m particular that the new residential Heating & Air Conditioning had a great deal to do with making this happen for us.
Air conditioning for less, with a solar array replacement
I’ve been living on my own out here for such a long time.
As a matter of fact, when I 1st moved out to the woods on the edge of town, there wasn’t an electrical hook up for miles & miles; But that’s just the way I wanted on some base level… I wasn’t looking to be off of the electrical grid, nor was I looking for any neighbors or any central a/c.
I feel living sustainably was something that came to me quite naturally, my parents were honestly happy to live a honestly simple life & in harmony with nature for the most part… They owned a small home where my sister & I shared a room until my friend and I decided to attend school. The home didn’t have any residential Heating & Air Conditioning equipment, however there was a large wood stove for heating; However, when it came to having a/c, the best you could hope for was a cooling breeze on the porch. And in lieu of that, it was whatever cooling comfort my friends and I could get from fans. But once I got to school, I realized that I needed to go a step further than my parents & be completely self reasonable. It took a few years after school of working inside the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning of an office suite for me to set my plan in action, then well, that’s been a long, long time ago & a few things have changed. I now have residential Heating & Air Conditioning thanks to a replacement in the solar array that powers my home. I have a ductless heat pump for the first time… Mostly, I’m gleeful to finally have some a/c when I easily need it in the Summer. I’m getting weaker the older I get when it comes to the heat.
I wanted to stay and watch the sunset but duty calls
My girlfriend and I were going to hang out at a party with some friends, but we decided to go to the summit so we could watch the sunset.
I told my girlfriend that I was going to need to leave if I got any calls, because I was the emergency heating and AC repair technician on the schedule that night.
It’s my responsibility to answer and handle any heating or AC customers that call during the weekend. I don’t usually get very many calls on Friday night so I thought my girlfriend and I would be fine going to the summit. Unfortunately, I got a call about 10 minutes after we arrived. We had just found a nice spot to sit and watch the sunset. I told my girlfriend that we had to leave and she was very kind and understanding. I thought she was going to be upset, but she was really cool about things. I really wanted to stay and watch the sunset, but I had to help out the residential customer. I went back to my girlfriend’s apartment when I was done with the air conditioner repair. I still wanted to hangout with her for a few hours. I figured she would be up waiting for me, but I definitely didn’t think that she would have dinner ready. She made some pasta and garlic bread and we sat down to eat dinner when I got back from the repair. I didn’t have any other problems the rest of the night and I didn’t get another call to the repair business until the next afternoon.
All of my friends are going to the resort next weekend
I’m pretty bummed out that my boss is not going to let me have the weekend off.
I asked for next weekend off a couple of weeks ago and the bus said it would be no problem. Then I got sick last weekend and I had to take four days off. The boss said that I don’t have any more vacation time left over and I have to work the weekend. My friends and I were supposed to go to a ski resort where they have a couple of different ski and snowboard areas. They have some places where there are jumps and rails. Next weekend they are going to be having a half-price ticket event because of the St Patrick’s Day holiday. Anyone who shows up wearing all green can get a half price ticket to the chairlift. The chairlift tickets are normally $195 each. My friends and I had everything planned down to the last minute, but now I have to stay home and work at the HVAC repair and installation business. I’m really sad that I won’t get to join my friends, but I guess I should stay home and make sure that I have enough money to pay my rent. Missing 4 days of work hurts a lot, because I only get paid minimum wage when I have a sick day but I can earn commission if I am working on heating or AC repairs or installation work. Getting sick cost me $300 at the doctor and then another $60 at the pharmacy. It also cost me a weekend with my friends.
