To clean these filters, it requires getting them wet and it’s next to impossible to completely dry one out to prevent fungal growth as they’re so dense and thick that they’re difficult to dry by nature. On top of that, they’re surprisingly bad at filtering things as large as dust particles, allowing your evaporator coil to get constant exposure to dirt, dust, pollen, microbial content, and anything else in your indoor air. Just stick with high quality disposable air conditioner filters.
