My partner and I had a major leak in the kitchen.

• The two of us didn’t realize water was leaking under the sink until the water started to come out from underneath the door.

The two of us rarely go into the section below the sink. The two of us keep seasoned cups and dishes down there that we do not use anymore. It’s honestly more appreciate an extra trash can then storage. When we noticed water coming out of the door, I shut off the sink so we could identify the problem, unblessedly for us, the complication was already pretty severe. The leaking water was absolutely in the wall behind the pipes. The wall was wet and the floor was saturated too. The two of us contacted a plumbing supplier to help with the repair. They brought us a dehumidifier to get rid of the moisture in the air and in the wall. The portable dehumidifier was small enough to fit underneath the sink. The girl put a tube from the dehumidifier into the sink so the moisture could drain back into the sink instead of onto the floor. When the dehumidifier was localed under the sink, the moisture levels were around 75%. After we let the dehumidifier run for 3 afternoons in a row, the moisture levels were closer to 40%, but running the dehumidifier kept us from getting mold and mildew in the house. After that plumbing problem, our partner and I are more careful about looking under the sink once or twice a week. The two of us were not being vigilant last time, but we won’t make that same mistake again in the future.

I believe it’s substantial to have a wonderful diet that is filled with healthy fruits and vegetables and vitamin rich foods.

I do our best to eat well.

I have a salad for supper every single day and I eat lean proteins appreciate salmon, trout and chicken and wonderful fats appreciate avocado or coconut for dinner, a lot of people our age aren’t in truly wonderful health and I want to make sure that I can stay healthy for as long as I want. There is a girl that works in the Heating and Air Conditioning profession and she looks truly fit. The girl has been to our loft on many chances to help with heating and AC repairs. The girl looks fit and trim and she is in really wonderful shape. The girl has got to be 72 years old. The girl might even be the owner of the supplier for all I know. What I do assume is that the Heating and Air Conditioning business is always fit and looking good. I hope that I can look that wonderful when I get to her age. If the key to wonderful health is eating right and exercising annually, then I am definitely headed in the right direction. I eat wonderful foods and I exercise as well. I belong to a gym and I go there frequently to labor out and exercise. I can run about 5 miles on the treadmill without stopping for a split and that is on the minute highest speed for the treadmill. My cardiovascular fitness is off the chain.

I entirely appreciate to make every style of job fun and exciting if it can be, however shopping and running errands always seems appreciate a drag, but I do what I can to make the event fun; I try to play little games with myself that make shopping much more interesting… The grocery store is situated a few miles away from our house. I go to the grocery store on Fridays and on Fridays, however on Fridays, I get loft from labor early so it is the perfect day to go to the store. I have the weekends off, so I also go to the store on Friday so I can stock up and prepare for the weekend. When I go to the store, I time myself to see how long it takes. I count the items and give myself 1 hour to find each item… My official everyday job is usually boring too. I labor in the heating and AC repair profession. I always help patrons with heat pump, oil furnace, a/c, and duct labor troubles. The afternoons can be boring and monotonous from 1 month to the next, so I try to find ways to make labor more fun too. When I have a repair, sometimes I time myself to see how long it will take. Then the next time I have the same style of repair, I can try to beat that time. I have a long list of repairs and the times that they take to complete. Some people believe I’m weird, but I just appreciate to have fun.

Listen to the tale I have to tell about me and Bongo, because I guarantee you won’t hear another one quite like it. You see, I haven’t paid income taxes in over a decade. If the IRS catches me I will be in hot water, no doubt, but that danger is what makes my life so much fun. I don’t have a bank account or any credit cards, everything Bongo and I do is strictly with cash money. Whenever funds run low I always look around for some freelance HVAC gigs, which are never very hard to find. I have my HVAC certification in good standing, and I also keep up with the trade magazines so I know the newest technological innovations. When an HVAC contractor hires a freelancer they will pay cash, and over the years I have assembled a long list of friendly contractors. When it comes to residential service calls and HVAC inspections, the contractors handle it themselves. But when they need a major ductwork removal, or an industrial air conditioning replacement, they will often use freelance workers. I get paid in cash, so it’s not official, and this saves the HVAC contractors a boatload of money, while keeping me financially solvent. I don’t need a lot of money, just enough for gas and dog food, so I only need to pick up freelance HVAC work once or twice a month. It’s a great life!

Have you ever thought about the way elderly people run this country? When it comes to any other job, old people are forced into retirement long before they turn seventy years old.

In politics, the 60 and 70 year olds are still in charge.

This doesn’t make sense to me, because if a company doesn’t trust an old person to manage a department, how can old people effectively manage the entire nation? Personally I think that the elderly are a resource of wisdom and knowledge. My next door neighbor Benny was an HVAC repair tech for over twenty years. Physically he is not capable of doing the heavy lifting of HVAC repair, but mentally he knows the job as well as anyone! The last time I needed a tuneup done on my little air conditioner I didn’t call the store I went next door and talked to Benny. For the cost of a couple of beers Benny sat in his wheelchair and guided me step-by-step through the air conditioner tuneup process. We were a little slow at times, but Benny was as sharp as ever when it came to navigating the complexities of the air conditioner components. It’s safe to say that Benny has forgotten more about air conditioners than I will ever know. The tuneup went so well that I am going to invite him over again next weekend and help me tune up my furnace. I won’t need to use the furnace for a few more months, but I might as well get it checked out right now.

Tara is my oldest granddaughter, and she was always my favorite.

Wise beyond her years, and always fun to have around, I always loved spending time with Tara. When she graduated high school, she confided in me a secret she was nervous about sharing with her parents. Tara knew she was expected to go college to earn a Bachelor’s degree, or more, but that is not what she wanted. Tara wanted to be a business owner, and she had a plan all worked out for it. With my support, Tara joined the HVAC training program at the local trade school, as the first step on her master plan for success. For the first six months all she did was read, study, go to class, and study HVAC tutorial videos online. Although she still had a while to go before getting certified, she got a part-time job with a local HVAC contractor for some hands-on experience while she finished her course work. She was living with me at the time, and I didn’t charge her any rent so that she could sink all of her money into saving up for her own HVAC shop. By the time she got her HVAC certification she had a full-time job lined up, and several thousand dollars saved! Now she is at the point where all she can do is keep working and saving money for a few years until she develops the contacts, the reputation, and enough money to become an HVAC contractor herself. All the while I get my HVAC work done for free.

For two weeks, this tiny rural town becomes a hot spot for glitz and glamor.

It is the local indie music harvest, with over a hundred bands playing in 12 different venues over the course of two weeks.

This is a place for young and upcoming musicians to strut their stuff and get noticed by record executives. The entire town benefits from all the outside attention, and the outside money. I rent several cabins near town, and for the music harvest every cabin is booked well in advance. I charge more for an air conditioned cabin, but it doesn’t matter how much I raise the price they are always booked. Since about half of my cabins don’t have A/C at all, this year I tried something different. I contacted my old football chum Mike, who runs a small HVAC supply shop in town and asked him about renting a few portable air conditioners for the 2 week festival. It would be a nice boost of revenue for Mike’s business, and I knew for a fact my customers wouldn’t blink twice at paying extra for an air conditioner. The day before the festival started Mike and two of his employees came out with a truckload of small A/C units, and quickly set up one in each of the appropriate cabins. These air conditioners are very small, and it only took a few minutes to set them up. Next year I should just buy the little air conditioners from Walmart or from Amazon, and install them into the cabins permanently.

My friend Ed and I finally found a nice place to rent together, one we could afford.

The house is not very big, but it has an amazing view from the top of the hill.

The best thing about it is the property, because now Ed and I have six acres of fields and forest to explore. We flipped a coin to see who got first pick of bedrooms, and I won! My bedroom is slightly larger than Eds, but it also came with a hidden issue I didn’t notice at first. My bedroom window faces the rising sun, which means first thing in the morning my room starts heating up. By noon, my room feels like the furnace has been turned on, and it gets almost unliveable. Even if I turn down the thermostat it doesn’t help enough. While the AC steadily brings down the temps in the rest of the house my room stays piping hot. This is a problem for me and Ed both, because running the cooling too much makes his bedroom freezing cold. The AC hits his room much harder than it hits mine, so I am sweltering while fifteen feet away Ed is shivering. The only reasonable remedy I could think of, that I could afford, was to find a small air conditioner to use only in my room. I didn’t bother going to a store, where I knew I couldn’t afford an air conditioner, and instead I went to the local flea market. There I found a 20 year old air conditioner I could mount in my windowsill.

Everyday after work, I go to the bar to sit and have a couple of drinks.

The owner of the bar works there everyday.

The guy is pretty nice. He always gives me a good deal on my drinks. I usually have a couple of beers before I finally get up and head home for the evening. There’s nobody at home except my dog, so it’s lonely at times. That’s one of the reasons why I like to go to the bar after work. Yesterday I was in the bar and the owner came up to me and started a conversation. The guy told me that the AC in the bar needs to be updated. The owner knew that I worked for an HVAC repair business, so he wanted to find out if we could work out a deal. I asked the bar owner what kind of deal he had in mind. He wanted me to repair the AC for free and he would pay for all of the parts that were necessary. If I offered to do the work for free, then I could drink in the bar for free for the next 2 years. It honestly sounded like a pretty good deal to me, but I thought that I should think about it before I said yes. I told the bar owner that I needed to Stew on the decision for a couple of days. Later that evening, I got home and took out a calculator. I multiplied the beers that I regularly have at the bar by the amount of money that it costs for each beer. I quickly realized that I would be drinking for free after 6 months. The deal was too good to turn down after I realized how much money I could save on beer.

I had a very long day at the heating and AC repair business.

During the morning hours, I helped a customer with a ductless AC installation job. The guy thought he could do the job on his own, but he called us when it was clearly too complicated. Took me a couple of hours to get everything set up and working correctly. After lunch, I went downtown to the community center to fix an air conditioner problem. I finished up around 3:00 p.m. and I was hoping that my boss was going to send me home for the day. Unfortunately, there was another job that needed to be completed. I got sent out to that job and it turned out to be quite a doozy. The customer needed a brand new AC unit and she wanted us to install it on the same day. I really didn’t want to go all the way back to the shop to pick up the equipment and then come back to the service address to do the work, but the customer gets what the customer wants and there was no one else to do the work except me. I went back to the equipment office and I grabbed one of the AC units. I grabbed all the supplies that I would need to complete the installation and then I headed back over to the customer’s home address. I didn’t finish up with the AC installation job until it was 7:00 at night. By that time, all I wanted to do was go home and put my feet up. I didn’t want to go to the bar to hang out with my friends. I simply wanted to get home and go to bed.
