Turning on the air conditioner when it is getting too hot

Eri said that she will usually turn on her window air conditioning system units when it gets up to 85 degrees or when it feels humid

Everyone is different as far as what temperature makes them the most comfortable! Comfort with temperature also differs with indoor and outdoor temperatures, for example, someone may be comfortable with 85 degrees outside, however would be super uncomfortable with the same temperature inside. I asked some friends to see what temperature makes them turn their air conditioners on in the summer. The first person I asked was Paul, but Paul lives in the south, where it is notoriously hot and humid, even before the summer time months. Paul said that as soon as it hits 75 degrees, his central air is turned on in his home! He explained that it is more the humidity than the heat that motivates him to turn on his air conditioning system. Paul does not want his home getting that humid, moldy, uncomfortable feeling. He runs his central air until it cools down in the winter which does not always happen where he lives. I asked my friend Eri, who lives up north, and Eri does not have a central air conditioning system, because it is not necessary where she lives. Instead, she has two window air conditioner units- one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. Eri said that she will usually turn on her window air conditioning system units when it gets up to 85 degrees or when it feels humid. It is possible for her to get comfort most of the summer from windows being open and using a fan, instead of spending money on an air conditioning system. It is legitimately interesting how in different parts of the country, people have different opinions on when they feel it is necessary to use their air conditioning system.

The resort has a smart thermostat

I have been looking to book a vacation at a resort for my family.

I have a wife and two children.

Summer is the perfect time for us to go away, because I get paid time off and my wife is a teacher, so her and my kids have the Summers off. I have been working particularly hard to find a resort in a tropical area that has everything my family would want and/or need for a perfect holiday. I found an advertisement for a resort, which has 5 star reviews. It almost sounds too good to be true, but at the same time I am one hour away from booking a trip here, and here is the advertisement that I read: Are you looking for a perfect family getaway in a tropical area that has activities for adults and kids? If so, Tropics Resort is perfect for you. We are located directly on white sand beaches with clear blue water and we have several heated pools and hot tubs. If you or your children need a break from fun in the sun, there is central air conditioning in the entire resort, and every room is equipped with a smart thermostat that you can control from an app on your phone. Every restaurant has central air conditioning, unless you like to relax outside. If you want to enjoy the heat of the sun, you can do that while lounging or you can take full advantage of our air conditioned game room. Looking for a spa? We have that too. It is fully air conditioned, and all massage tables are heated.

The storm claimed my air conditioner

My name is Ariella and I’m going to tell you about the time I lost power and a/c during the summer for a week, it was summer, about three years ago. I live in an area that is known to be a hurricane hotspot! The fact that a bad hurricane was coming was definitely made clear from all of the news and social media, so I prepared myself like I always do. I got the basics such as bottled water, batteries, and canned foods. Usually when there is a hurricane, I don’t lose power or if I do lose power it is not for actually long. I live near a hospital so that helps However, this hurricane was different. The gusting winds and rain definitely did damage to our area. I am lucky to be alive, but losing power and a/c during the summer was not fun, and obviously, power is required for thermostats and a/c to work. When we lost power, we could not open the windows due to the storm to let air in! We were sitting in stagnant, non air conditioned air. I did everything I could to cool off, but it was super overheated and humid without the beloved a/c. I think the situation could have been so much worse, and I think I was not alone in this, but nothing about this was enjoyable. Luckily, we had backup battery powered charging packs for our phones, so my husband and I played games on our phones for hours to keep us occupied and to keep our minds off of the fact that we were sweating from the lack of a/c. I was so grateful for the HVAC suppliers who worked so hard to get all the people’s a/c working again after the storm.
