The Quietest Air Conditioners

I’m not really sure what has been happening lately with the weather, it has been crazy and unpredictable.

Just the other month it was raining every single day and cool, this month it has been super sizzling and humid.

Every single day it is over 90 degrees and you can really feel the humidity in the air, it’s outrageous. I have been avoiding going outside this whole month just to avoid that awful feeling. However, sadly for the Heating and A/C specialist, I had a Heating and A/C appointment for today. I felt pretty bad for the Heating and A/C professionals that are still going out and repairing a/c equipment in the sizzling weather, but in a way, they are real life heroes. This is because they are giving me the charming cooling of a/c equipment. To make things substantially worse the Heating and A/C equipment professional was genuinely running behind schedule, which not only affected me, but I’m sure that meant he was staying out much longer in the horrible weather. Approximately an hour later, the Heating and A/C equipment worker arrived and seemed out of breath. He didn’t say much to me but just went straight to Heating and A/C repair! As I watched him handle the work, I felt entirely bad, so I prepared a snack and frigid water for him. He finished early, and I gave him the snack and water. He thanked me for thinking about him and drank all of the water and asked for more. It turns out a majority of people don’t seem to care enough to provide anything in the slightest, not even water to the Heating and A/C equipment people. This made me feel even more awful for them. We talked for a short while before he had to go on his way to repair more oil furnaces and a/c equipment.

Finally, an hour later, the Heating & Air Conditioning device worker arrived & seemed out of breath. She didn’t say much to me but just right away went straight to Heating & Air Conditioning repair. My sons were supposed to be cleaning up the backyard.

I told them to mow the grass and trim the hedges while I was at work.

My oldest son smiled and acted like nothing was wrong. I walked into the yard, picked up the bases they had on the ground and told the boys it was time to go home. If it hadn’t been for the air conditioner, the ball would have hit the house and maybe broken a window. I looked at the air conditioner and back at him. There were no windows near the AC unit, but I had no words. I walked into the house and left them working on the lawn.

My sister came to visit last week. She had her four-year-old granddaughter with her. We sat in the kitchen drinking coffee, while Sabrina was playing with the three-year-old little boy I babysit for. Sabrina came into the kitchen and asked why she was sweating? I told her it was because she was playing and we were just sitting still. She went back into the living room and came back out two minutes later. She told me that Ethan was sweating and all he was doing was rolling the ball and she had to chase it. I told her that little boys sweat a lot. My sister asked if I had a problem with the air conditioning. My husband told me the HVAC tech had been at the house and done work on the air conditioning unit, the day I went to town. I didn’t ask him if there had to be any repairs made, and he said nothing about it. They were there until Ethan’s mom showed up to take him home. Sabrina was also ready to leave when her playmate was gone. My husband got home a couple hours later, and he mentioned he thought it was kind of warm in the house. I turned to look at him and I said to him about the air conditioning unit and what the HVAC tech had said. He said he had told me we needed some repairs done. I argued with him about the repairs,, and he said he distinctly remembered telling me when he got home from work. He hadn’t been to work since before the HVAC tech had been there.

I am the type of man who can’t pass up a good deal.

I may not even need the item, but maybe one of my friends or a family member is going to use the item, which makes it worth buying. My wife knows how I am, and she will often hide the paper so I can’t see any sales coming up. When I was talking to a friend of mine who works at the HVAC company, he told me about a box sale they were having on left over air filters. Most of the air filters were for old style furnaces. He was pretty sure they would have air filters for my HVAC system. I told my wife I was going to a baseball game with my best friend, and he and I went to the sale. We looked at every air filter they had in stock. I found three boxes of air filters for my air conditioning and another four boxes of air filters for the furnace. My friend found six boxes of air filters that would fit his mom and dad’s furnace. He couldn’t find anything for his house, but he found a fireplace insert that was 50% off. When we got home, my wife was slack-jawed. She wanted to know how many air filters we need? She asked where I planned on storing all of them? I told her we would put them in the garage. Then she saw the fireplace insert and asked what I was going to do with that? I told her it belonged to Bob. She looked at him oddly and reminded him he didn’t have a fireplace.

I have done more dumb things than anyone else I know. With being a professor of what not to do, I am probably the Einstein of the subject. I tried to repair a window air conditioner once. I had all the pieces laid out on the dining room floor. I washed every piece and laid them in a row. Unfortunately, when it came time to put the parts back into the air conditioning unit, I did not know what piece went first. That was when we decided it was time to purchase a central air conditioning unit. We once had a space heater that hissed every once in a while. I knew it was the sound of fuel leaking out of the nozzle. I had soldered many things, and I didn’t think it would be a big deal to put a bead of solder on the nozzle. I wouldn’t even be touching the flame to the nozzle. I would heat the solder and drop a bit on the nozzle. Instead of repairing the space heater, I had to go out and buy a new one. The new space heater had every safety feature possible so I couldn’t touch the insides of it. My wife trusts me to not touch anything. She said she trusts me with her life, but she also knew she could trust me to break anything I try to fix. I’m not allowed to touch anything that has to do with HVAC or electric, or plumbing, or …
