The Quietest Air Conditioners

I woke up this morning with black fingernail polish and wondered what the heck I’m doing.

But our band’s colors are black and red and we are slowly getting our look together, which entails dressing in the colors and painting the nails to match.

Music is a performance art, and a very visual one, so having the right look is also key to being successful. We have made about 35 songs so far since becoming a band about a year and a half ago, and if we can keep pushing we will have almost 100 songs in another year. The local HVAC company is going to have us do a big show at a convention they are hosting in a few months, which will be really cool because they are expecting 500 people to show up. We’ve played in bigger arenas before individually, but this will be our biggest as a band. When I was a cooling worker maybe ten years ago I was playing in concert halls with 700 people, so performing for a large group isn’t a big deal for me. But I can’t imagine what it feels like to play for huge groups of 50,000 or more like some of these rock bands. Anyway, today is a clean my washable HEPA filter day and also a day of washing my heated floors, as it has been a while since I did any chores around the flat and it is getting a bit dirty in this place. There is some dust on the floors and I also have to run the robot vacuum cleaner.

Quality HVAC

I think today was the latest I’ve slept in 25 years after playing so many hours last night in the band and practicing beach volleyball beforehand for a solid hour.

I think my body just finally melted down last night and needed a lot of sleep.

I was in bed last night at 11:30pm and didn’t get out of bed till 12pm today. Beach volleyball and playing drums and singing are both very intense and after four hours of doing both my body said enough is enough. When I got home I just ate cheese and bread, then my air con system was turned on in my bedroom for a long climate controlled slumber to recharge the body. Today I will do my writing online for a few hours and then go to the beach later when the sun is lower and just rest in the sand. I’m sure my HVAC rep friends will be playing volleyball and asking me to play, but there is no way my shoulders will be able to do the sport. I have to do some work next week for the local contractor and am going to need strong shoulders to do so, so today and tomorrow will be rest days for me and the band. We may play a little tomorrow night but I won’t drum most likely and just do some singing because my shoulders will probably be even more sore tomorrow. Next week we have to install a huge ductwork system for the town hall and I will have to do a lot of the HVAC work myself.

 

Heating and cooling equipment

I am plugging away with my workday and it should all be done in about an hour and a half at the most.

• I could probably knock it all out in an hour if I really focused and worked away, but there is always a distraction that pops up requiring some of my time and attention.

As long as I am done by 3pm today I should be fine, then I will have time to do the other chores around the flat and I should be all set by the time my company arrives. I am going to run the air conditioning later because it is going to get pretty warm this afternoon, which is expected as it is the middle of May now and the temps are getting up there into the climate control zone. It won’t get really hot until the end of June though so we won’t have to run the unit all of the time until that time comes. July and August require non stop air con in the flat and it won’t let up till the middle of September when the cool weather comes rushing in pushing the warmer weather out for the winter. I am going to meet some of my family in July in another country and escape the heat here for a little while. It will be nice seeing my HVAC rep brother and his kids in eight more weeks and I think the country we are meeting in will be cooler so we won’t need any air conditioning while we are there for the two weeks.

Today is a day of feeling grateful, grateful for being well again after a weeklong battle with the flu, and grateful for this job that keeps me going in life. I am grateful for the handful of friends I have and grateful for being in such a cool band that makes some great songs. We’ve uploaded 25 of those songs and I can’t wait to see what kind of songs we will be making in the coming years. I bet that in five years we will have made a really great song that people like to hear over and over. Heating and a/c work at the dealership helps me fuel my music dream as it pays all my bills and allows me to save some each month too. Today is Monday and I feel like I’ve been reborn again after getting well from that illness that was really knocking me down. I have a good HVAC rep friend staying at my flat for the night and we are going to talk about the HVAC industry and all things under the sun. I have to get my work done first, along with my yoga routine and a short beach workout later, then I will be all set for my company and it should be a nice night. We will sit beside the mini split a/c unit later when the temps heat up and just catch up a bit before she flies out very early tomorrow morning. It should be a nice night and I look forward to seeing an old and friendly face.

 

New contractor

I think in two months I am going to take a short trip and meet my family in a nearby country, and I may even see my friend from this town if she happens to be there when I go

It is so nice to feel good and not be sick after a week of torture. The sore throat was probably the worst part of the whole ordeal, but now it is in my rearview mirror and I am feeling so much better. I need to get back to my exercise routine again and today I am going to do a light leg workout and maybe go for a short run on the beach. I don’t know if I can do my normal 30 minute run because my body is pretty weak but I will give it a shot. Climate control is starting to become the norm as the weather warms up and summer approaches. It is the middle of May now and in a month it will be really hot I bet, so we will be running the air soon to stay cool in this flat for the whole season. I will clean the a/c filter later today and maybe even test out the climate control system to make sure it is a go for the coming hot months. I think in two months I am going to take a short trip and meet my family in a nearby country, and I may even see my friend from this town if she happens to be there when I go. She is an HVAC rep and I met her two weeks before she moved away to another country to go work for this local business doing heating and cooling repairs and sales. It should be a fun trip and nice seeing my family finally.

 

 

Geothermal heat pump

Today is the second day now of feeling better after a week of feeling less than ideal.

• I had the flu for almost a week and yesterday was the first whole day of not feeling those nasty symptoms.

I will write this and then head down to the produce stand and grab some apples so I can have my kefir and apple breakfast on the beach soon. I think I’ll go to the main produce store because the apples there are a lot fresher and at better prices too. I’ll walk down there to the local business and grab them, walk back home to my air conditioned flat and drop them off, and then head to the beach with one of them. I have about two hours of work to do today and then my friend is coming to visit for the rest of the day before she flies out really early in the morning. I want to clean the HEPA filter too before she gets here because I know that she needs good indoor air quality or she will be sneezing the whole night. I will also stock up on a bunch of fruits and veggies so she has something to eat for the short time she will be here. I have a small climate controlled office that she can sleep in for the night, while I sleep in my air conditioned bedroom on the other side of the flat. It should be nice seeing her as I don’t think I have seen her for about three years at this point.

This day I decided to put on Acker Bilk for some reason, plus while I was having my tea plus listening to “Stranger in the Shore”, I was taken away to paradise in my mind, however i envisioned myself sipping pina coladas under a palm tree plus wandering along a beach with crystal-clear water plus white sand, and then I snapped out of it plus realized that I was in my flat instead of in paradise, plus I had to get on with some work, and monday afternoons are usually slow, plus I caught myself procrastinating by not doing what I should be doing! Acker Bilk was fantastic me too much, so I put on some jazz rock n roll designed to make you focus plus I was soon back on track doing my toil for the Heating & Air Conditioning business.

There’s not much toil to do at the company now, I guess because we’ve been having moderate weather—not too hot, not too cold, plus many people aren’t requiring their heating plus cooling equipment.

My pal and I had some heavy rainfall in the area where I live, which is good because it’s not rained in a long time plus my pal and I were suffering from drought. It’s also good that I’m saving money on energy bills by not having to use my a/c unit, because it has been quite hot lately plus I had it running too often… Yesterday, the rain prevented my bandmate plus I from playing rock n roll on the street, but my pal and I made the decision to go to a diner with a cool fireplace plus had a nice time anyway. My pal and I had burgers plus pretzels; it was so delicious that my pal and I forgot all about the rain plus not being able to play!

This week I’m not sure whether to stay in the city or go to the beach.

I have an appointment with my healthcare worker this afternoon, but it’s not urgent, as well as I don’t even know if it’s necessary for me to go because my stomach concerns are better now, so I don’t know what to do because I would easily like to go to the beach on this attractive afternoon.

I don’t like being in the city for too long; I feel it wears on my soul as well as brings me down emotionally, however but today it’s tricky because I have the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C tech coming in later. I could cancel these appointments, though. The concern is that my husbandy is going to be mad at me if I escape without first sorting out the a/c. I still have some toil to do, so I’ll see after that. The cleaning guy is in the house, as well as he doesn’t like me being around when she’s trying to clean; this makes me feel unwelcome in my own house. Thanks to my modern programmable thermostat, however, I am able to control the temperature in the condo without having to leave the office, so that way, I don’t scare her. This has been one of the best buys ever. I was undoubtedly blessed because the heating as well as cooling provider I got it from had it on sale in the store. It was a bargain! My tummy is now telling me that it’s time to shove some food down my throat before the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C repairman comes, even though I must find a way to go to the living room without spine-chilling the cleaning guy…
